Novel chemical technology allows the cleaning of organic deposits that affect pore availability and thus recovers the porosity of the producing sand. Removing this damage created by organic material incrustations improves the productivity index of active producing wells. Undoubtedly, a successful technology in improving barrels/day production through enhanced recovery of heavy, extra heavy crude, and oil sands in difficult reservoirs, such as the cold sands in Alberta / Canada.
